A natural, yeast-derived product that can be added to skincare products for intense anti-aging and moisturizing benefits. Elastin is the elastic protein of the connective tissue and ligaments. It is responsible for the elasticity and flexibility of the skin.

SOLUBILITY: MARINE ELASTIN is soluble in water, alcohol, and propylene glycol. Insoluble in oils and fats.

Note there may be traces of electrolytes (salt) from the manufacturing process.

It is an advantageous component for skin and hair care products to smooth, moisturize, and improve their overall appearance. Other benefits include diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles due to its strong protective film forming properties due to a very large molecule that cannot penetrate the skin while being a natural, plant-derived product.  

Elastin is the protein in skin and connective tissue that gives skin its flexible qualities, it  depletes incrementally with environmental exposure.

Structurally they are considered to be peptides of natural origin which can aid in improving the elasticity, texture and moisturisation of the skin and hair.
